NCEA Symposia and Just for the Kids Awards Event
Helping More Texas Students Achieve College and Career Readiness: What's Next?
Thank you for joining the National Center for Educational Achievement (NCEA) as we spread the important message of college and career readiness (CCR) for all students. NCEA is proud to honor Texas educators who show tremendous commitment and effort in bringing excellence to their schools. We are humbled by the excitement and energy that each of you brought to the events in Austin, Houston, and Dallas.
Each event included a recognition ceremony for NCEA's Just for the Kids Higher Performing Schools. These ceremonies featured keynote speakers, including Senator Florence Shapiro (Austin), Representative Rob Eissler (Houston), and Representative Diane Patrick (Dallas); panel discussions from leading superintendents and principals of Higher Performing Schools; and presentations discussing the importance of CCR for all Texas students.
The overwhelming attendance and participation reminds us that educators, administrators, and policymakers alike are all eager to create school systems where student learning targets empower our future generations to achieve college and career success.
